Grand National 2017 Best Betting Offers

The Grand National attracts  a large amount of criticism, however it remains the UK’s favourite betting event of the year. As always, the bookmakers are keen for your business and are providing some pretty decent offers to get you to sign up with them. In fact, we’ve been covering the Grand National for a number of years now, and we reckon this is the year bookmakers have been the most aggressive to get new customers. We have rounded up all of the offers for your convenience.

Bet Victor

* Offer: £25 Free Bet – Paying out on 6 places
* Redeem Click here to visit the Grand National betting offer

Bet Victor are giving you punters a free £25 bet if you’re a new customer. On top of that, they are paying out on six places and actually are the only bookie to do so this weekend. If you aren’t familiar with what ‘places’ means for horse racing, take a look at our FAQ at the bottom of this blog post, but it’s a really good offer from Bet Victor for the 2014 Grand National.

* Offer: £20 Free Bet – Paying out on 5 places
* Redeem Click here to visit the Grand National betting offer

Betfair historically has attracted the more serious gambler with their exchange market, but recently they have broadened their appeal. For this years Grand National, they have a cracking offer, primarily for new customers. They have a bet £20 – get £20 offer for new customers, plus if you horse does not finish in the Grand National, you’ll get £10 refunded. They’re also running some offers for existing customers for the races leading up top the Grand National which is a bit more rare for a bookmaker.

* Offer: £30 Free Bet – Paying out on 5 places
* Redeem Click here to visit the Grand National betting offer

An alternative to the two above is SkyBet. Normally they have a free £30 bet for new customers, and that stays for the Grand National, but also they have a few more offers for the races prior to the big race. Like Betfair, if you have the time to check it out, take a look.

Paddy Power

* Redeem Click here to visit the Grand National betting offer

Straight forward one from Paddy Power. If you bet £20, you will get bets worth £20 free. They’re also doing the usual five places and non-runner no bet.

* Offer: £25 Free Bet – Paying out on 5 places
* Redeem Click here to visit the Grand National betting offer

Finally we have Betfred. Normally new customers only receive a free £10 bet from them, but for the Grand National this increases to £25. The improvement happens on Friday 4th April, so hang on before signing up to this one.

That’s it. There are a few bookies you might expect to see here, but they are absent because they are taking away their free bet offer on the day of the Grand National. Just to wrap up, we’ve put together some frequently asked questions that we often see asked at the time of the Grand National.

Some frequently asked questions

When is the 2014 Grand National? – It’s at 4:15pm on Saturday 5th of April

What does ‘non-runner no bet’ (NRNB) mean? – Quite simply, if you bet on a horse, and it does not start the race for whatever reason (maybe it isn’t well, or alternative booked a last minute holiday for horses) your bet will be refunded. This year, all of the bookies are offering NRNB.

What does paying on places mean? – There are different ways to bet on horses. You can bet outright on the winner. Quite easy, if the horse does not win, you lose your bet. Alternative you can bet on the horse being placed. If it comes in (typically) the top five places, you still win your bet. It is at reduced odds though, typically a quarter.

What that entails is that if you bet a on a horse such as Tidal Bay to place, (currently 16/1), if it doesn’t win but comes in the top five positions, then you will win your bet at a quarter odd the odds, i.e. 4/1. It means you don’t win as much, but you are far more likely to win.

What does ‘Each Way’ (EW) mean? – When you bet ‘each way’, you are making two bets. So if you bet £2, you actually bet £4. This is because you have bet on the horse to win the race, but also to place (as above).

Cheltenham 2014 Online Betting Offers

Cheltenham 2014

Cheltenham remains one of the most important racing events of the year, and the bookmakers are keen for your business. As a result, many have special offers for the 2014 Cheltenham festival. All of the bookmakers are claiming the best odds and it’s quite hard to distinguish between them so we are assuming they’ll all largely be the same. It can be quite confusing all the different offers available but we’ve put them all in one place, here. lead the pack in terms of free bets. Not only can customers continue to receive a free bet up to the value £200, but there are free bets available for existing customers too. If you bet on a horse that is odds of 4/1 or greater, and it loses, Bet 365 will give you a free bet on the next race to the same amount as your stake. For all races too, Bet 365 are running ‘no runner, no bet’ (NRNB), i.e. if you bet on a horse and for whatever reason it doesn’t start the race, you will receive a refund on your bet.

Something a little different from If you have a mobile account with them, it’s time to grab your phone. Bet on any horse, and if it comes 2nd, William Hill will refund your stake as a free bet up to the value of £25. Pretty decent. William Hill are doing ‘NRNB’ too but only on select races. Best check before placing a bet.

If Hurricane Fly successfully defends his title, or finishes 2nd,  are refunding bets on the Champion Hurdle race. have a similar offer too. For each of the opening 1:30pm races each day, they are refunding losing bets if the favourite wins, up to £25. Alternatively, are refunding bets if Quevega comes first in the Nicholson Mares Hurdle. Finally are refunding bets if Tony McCoy wins any races during the Cheltenham Festival.

Ramsey Finds Form Ahead of Arsenal vs West Brom. Betting Offers Round Up.

What a turnaround for Arsenal. Aaron Ramsey has found excellent form this season and seems to represent everything at the club right now. He put in an excellent performance against Napoli on Tuesday in the Champions League, setting up Ozil to get his first goal of the season. Previous to that, Ramsey managed to score eight goals in eight games. Therefore it does come as surprise that Paddy Power will be refunding bets on certain markets if he scores at any moment during the game against West Brom on Sunday.

The game is going to be televised on Sky Sports 1, which makes it eligible for Ladbroke’s red card betting offer. To give some details on what could be considered quite a complex offer,  if a red card is shown during the game, Ladbrokes will refund certain in-play bets (please do check as they are limited) until the moment the red card is shown. Basically, make a bet on correct score in-play, and if you do so before a red card is shown, and you lose, Ladbrokes will refund you free bet.

One last one from William Hill. Seems to be a long running betting offer they have, but worth knowing if you are going to bet on the game Sunday. If you bet on 1st goal scorer, and they don’t score the first but they do go on to score the second goal of the game, William Hill will refund your bet. Arsenal only just managed to beat West Brom in the Capital Cup, winning 4-3 on penalties but everything is set up for the game on Sunday to be a thriller, with Arsenal keen to remain top of the table for another week.

Can The Players Keep Their Cool? Red Card Refund Offer Plus Other Weekend Offers

Arsenal Red Card

Another weekend of football, and we reckon it’s the best set of fixtures so far this new season.

‘Super’ is a word often used to describe many things. Super Mario, Super hero, Super Drug etc. However a legitimate use of the word ‘super’ is Super Sunday, the term coined by Sky to describe their football offering. For the first time in the season, the Sunday fixtures deliver as Liverpool face Manchester United and Arsenal face local rivals Tottenham. We don’t have BT Sport so we are glad both of the games are on Sky.

Last week we collected together the betting offers and one in particular that stood out was Paddy Power. They offered to refund bets if RVP scored. We don’t know what they knew which everyone else didn’t, but sure enough he didn’t and Paddy Power came up trumps. In the last three meetings between Arsenal and Tottenham, there have been a total of 17 goals so the statistics suggest this weeks games are going to be a bit more entertaining. Here is this weeks wrap up of money back specials for the weekend games.

Bet Victor

* Offer: Red Card Refund
* How to claim? Click here to claim the offer

This offer just applies to the Sunday fixtures, but arguably these will be the most heated anyway. If a red card is shown at any time during each of the two games, Bet Victor will refund man of the match, scorecast, correct score, and first/last goalscorer bets as a free bet up to the value of £25. Something worth pointing out is that in the last two visits to the Emirates, Spurs have had a man sent off. Last year it was Adebayor, no surprise.

Bet 365

* Offer: Bore Draw Refund
* How to claim? Click here to claim the offer

Many (including us) were left disappointed when Manchester United faced Chelsea on Monday night. The game ended goalless. William Hill got in touch with us this week to let us know that they refunded 19,000 bets as part of their bore draw offer. If any of this weekend matches end 0-0, William Hill will refund correct score and double result bets as a free bet.

Paddy Power

* Offer: Draw refund
* How to claim? Click here to claim the offer

Paddy Power have to go one better than William Hill. If either of the Sunday games ends in a draw (note: includes score draw), Paddy Power will refund all losing first goalscorer, correct score last goalscorer,  & scorecast singles on that particular match. This week they announced that their money back special on Andy Murray cost them £2m highlights that it doesn’t always go right for the bookmaker.

Manchester United vs Chelsea Headlines Bank Holiday Weekend Fixtures

We’re only a couple of weeks into the season and already the Premiership has delivered entertainment. This weekend the biggest shock without a doubt has to be Cardiff holding on to beat Manchester City. They have had to wait over 50 years to return to top flight football but two goals from Fraizer Campbell secured their first three points. However, it’s their neighbours Manchester United who take to the spotlight tonight as they face Chelsea at Old Trafford.

Arguably the biggest talking point of this game will be Wayne Rooney’s involvement in the game. For a number of weeks now, he has understood to be a keen on a move to Chelsea, however the two clubs are yet to reach an agreement over the fee. David Moyes seems adamant that will stay and may even start against Chelsea but Rooney’s lack of celebrations for his team’s goals at Fulham points towards he may actually go. This game is Mourinho’s return to Old Trafford too, adding extra drama. We’ve done a wrap up of the two big online betting offers available for the match tonight.

Bet 365

* Offer: Free in play bet up to the value of £50
* How to claim? Click here to claim the betting offer

Bet 365 occasionally run this online betting offer on the bigger games so it’s good to take advantage of it when it’s available. Place a pre-match bet, and then make an equal value in-play bet during the game. If your in-play bet loses Bet 365 will refund the stake to the same value as your pre-match bet (up to the value of £50).  Bet 365 have tons of in-play markets, so it will be easy to find something fun to bet on.

Paddy Power

* Offer: Money back if RVP scores
* How to claim? Click here to visit the betting offer

Paddy Power often have the biggest balls when it comes to offers. For the game tonight, if Robin van Persie scores a goal, Paddy Power will refund all losing First Goalscorer, Last Goalscorer, Correct Score & Scorecast singles . A maximum refund of £100 applies to this offer. Given his early encouraging form so far this season, this is a strong offer.

Boylesports Accumulator – How to Place Your Bet

Boylesports are Ireland’s largest bookmaker, established in 1982 by John Boyle. This article explains how to do accumulators on the Boylesports website, as for some people it may be confusing. If you’re a new customer you should be aware you can currently get a £20 free bet.

1. Find a market and make at least two selection

In the example given below, two football selections have been made. When you make a selection on the Boylesports website, they are added to your betting slip which appears in the top right of the screen. As soon as you make two selections, an additional section appears titled ‘double’, highlighted by the red box below. This is how you put on an accumulator, i.e. a single bet that is dependent on the outcome of both selections being correct to win the bet.
